Hello to all,

We would like to thank all of you who have registered for the 2020 State Festival, that was going to be held at the Albuquerque Square Dance Center. We were in hopes that this pandemic would not affect the festival but as we all know, it did and we had to cancel. The NMSRDA Central District worked hard and diligently to give you an outstanding festival with the talent of Buddy Weaver and Milo & Cindy Molitoris, and it is sad to have to cancel.

Additionally, I want to personally give thanks to the board and the committees for all their hard work— THANK YOU!

Refund checks will be sent out to all who registered for the festival and dinner over the next few weeks.

Some folks have asked for their registration to be donated to ASDC or Central district. This would create a massive bookkeeping issue for the state treasurer, and it is not possible to transfer the fund directly. If you would like to make a donation to either of these organizations, please do so, by sending your donation directly to them.

The Square Dance World has been hit hard by this situation. I truly feel and hope that we will spring back after the restrictions are lifted. We will need to restart our classes again and work hard to bring the dance programs back. As a believer in the program, I know we can do this and get our Square Dance family back to dancing.
